Blanket and Satin Stitch Applique

The Blanket Stitch was used a lot in 1930's quilts.  Usually done in black embroidery thread and stitched by hand it producees a strong defination on the edge of your applique but any colour produces a lovely and easy edge to your applique!

Have you ever had problems getting a beautiful Satin Stitch on your machine? Well, we can get that sorted as long as your machine has both a LENGTH and WIDTH adjustment.

Expand your use of colour and threads and produce traditional or contemporary looking applique with a twist.

I will also show you how to make a nostalgic butterfly by folding a handkerchief.

There is no project in this workshop but we make lots of samples to build your skills.
